Treasury Management Sales Officer

Title:                        Treasury Management Sales Officer
Department:           Treasury Management - Commercial
Reports To:             Dan Hawks          

Purpose: Primarily responsible for sales of Treasury Management products and growth of core deposits.  Identify sales opportunities to expand the client base at West Bank and related financial departments. Promote commercial Treasury Management products and services for the commercial client base through our third party vendors.  Work jointly with the Treasury Management Operations Manager, Treasury Management Product Support Specialist and Treasury Management Administration to optimize communication and appropriately staff customer challenges and growth opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

New Business Development: Develop written and verbal proposal presentations for external prospects and existing clients to promote the sale of Treasury Management and Deposit services.  (50%)


  • Before 10 a.m. each day, set a future appointment with an existing customer or prospect. Develop channels to prospect new Treasury Management clients and manage an active prospect list with action plans to assist with daily appointment setting.
  • Pursue new clients and expand existing relationships to increase core deposits and revenues.
  • Participate in the officer calling program and support business development activities for Treasury Management and other bank departments by attending customer/prospect meetings and proposing TM and deposit products.
  • Generate Fee Income from the Treasury Management services sold and cross selling opportunities during the sales process.

Account/Portfolio Management: Actively manage to retain a portfolio of treasury and deposit services customers for West BankProvide outstanding service by understanding customer’s business needs and providing impactful solutions. (20%)


  • Perform regular client follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct annual treasury management reviews for top tier commercial clients and identify growth opportunities resulting in proposed TM and deposit products. Recommendations to include at a minimum, Positive Pay and ACH Fraud Filter products for all new and existing clients.
  • Work jointly with VP/Treasury Management Operations Manager to ensure routine account maintenance, installations, training, and other troubleshooting is referred to the Treasury Management Administrators.

Product/Service Growth In Existing Customer Portfolio:   Expand current commercial client base through value based cross selling opportunities. Deliver proposal presentations for internal prospects and clients upon request to promote the sale of Treasury Management and Deposit services. (20%)


  • Ensure your calling calendar tool reflects the appropriate level of calling frequency on high value existing customers.
  • Provide timely service with an appropriate sense of urgency.

Building Strong Communities: Participate in community events, including serving in a leadership position of at least one community organization, staffing at least two events (art festivals, community celebrations, etc.), hosting at least one customer at an outside event, representing West Bank as requested attending at least one luncheon, dinner, or reception, and participating in at least two community festivals (parades, bank-sponsored outreach events, etc.) per year. (10%)

Qualifications (Include Education and Experience)  5+ years of general banking experience with a minimum of two (2) years banking sales experience.  Financial operational experience with an emphasis in the Treasury Management is preferred. Ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and discipline.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis in interpersonal skills.  Ability to interface effectively with all internal and external contacts and to manage and maintain confidential information.  Strong sales and service capabilities.
