You Need Online Banking

Online Banking Offers More Than Just Checking Your Balance.

“Many personal banking transactions can be done with Online Banking, plus, there are other helpful features that can you can use to keep your personal finances on track,” says West Banker Shaun Kraciun.

How does Online Banking help me keep track of my cash flow?

You can view the transaction list for the selected account, which will show you which transactions are currently pending, and which transactions have posted to your account. There is also a great feature that allows you to search transactions by amount, check number, or date. You can categorize your transactions to track what you are spending your money on. This can be an eye-opener when setting your budget.

I’d like to get rid of paper statements, but what if I need to see one?

If you are interested in enrolling for eStatements, you are able to sign up by logging in to your online banking and selecting the profile tab at the top of the screen. Once you are enrolled, you will no longer receive paper statements in the mail, but you will have the ability to view, download, and print available statements from your online banking. From the day you sign up, your future statements are archived, and can be viewed for up to 18 months. If you need statements that are not available on your online banking, you can contact our customer service department.

I have more than one account. How do I tell them apart?

You can nickname the accounts on your account list. This is really beneficial if you have multiple accounts with your spouse, kids, or if you have a separate savings for a vacation or other event.

Will online banking notify me when there is activity?

You can easily set up real-time Account Alerts in Online Banking. Account alerts including password change, invalid login attempts, and if your security questions are changed can help you guard against fraud. Balance alerts – set a threshold to get alerted when your balance falls below a certain amount, or if your account was overdrawn – can help you.

What if I need to move money from one account to another?

Is your checking account getting low? Are you getting ready to make a purchase you have been saving for? You can easily and conveniently transfer funds between your accounts.

Can I send money to others from online banking?

Bill Pay allows you to set up automatic payments for your recurring bills such as rent or mortgage payments and utility bills. You can specify the date of payment so that your bills are paid on time. You can also set up other payees beyond your monthly bills such as occasional bills from your doctor or dentist or monthly bills that are variable. When it’s time to pay them, all you have to do is enter the amount and click “Send Money”.

Can I transfer funds from my West Bank account to my account at a different bank?

Yes, you can do a Bank-to-Bank transfer through Bill Pay as long as the other bank is in the United States. International transfers are not allowed.

Use the Transfer Money tab to set up your external account. You can make a one-time transfer or you can set up a recurring automatic transfer, similar to paying your bills. There is a small transaction fee for making a Bank-to-Bank transfer.

Can I set up an additional West Bank account from online banking?

You can start the process to open a new checking or savings account from your online banking. You’ll need to finish the process in person with your West Banker, but submitting the application online will save you some time.

Sign Up for Convenience

While we are happy to see our customers in person, there are a lot of times when the ability to take care of transactions online is more convenient. To sign up for online banking, go to Online Banking. If you have more questions, see the Online Banking FAQ or you may consult your personal banker.
