Your Business Investment Account Options
Certificates of Deposit (CDs)
West Bank’s Certificates of Deposit (CDs) provide businesses with a reliable, low-risk way to earn competitive returns on excess cash. With tiered interest rates and flexible short- and long-term maturities, CDs help align investments with cash flow needs and long-term financial goals. Fixed interest rates offer predictable earnings and protection from market fluctuations, making CDs an excellent choice for conservative investment strategies.
- Tiered, competitive interest rates
- Flexible term options
- Predictable, guaranteed returns
CDARS®
CDARS® (Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service®) enables businesses to invest large deposits into CDs while maintaining FDIC insurance coverage. Funds are placed into CDs issued by multiple FDIC-insured banks within the IntraFi® network. This approach ensures that both principal and interest remain FDIC-insured—while you continue working directly with West Bank and receive consolidated statements.
- Multi-million-dollar FDIC protection
- Fixed-term investment structure
- One bank, one relationship
ICS®
ICS® (Insured Cash Sweep®) helps businesses maximize FDIC insurance on demand deposit and money market accounts. Large balances are swept into accounts at FDIC-insured institutions within the IntraFi® network. ICS® offers daily liquidity and easy access to funds, making it ideal for operating accounts and reserve balances—without added administrative complexity.
- Expanded FDIC coverage
- Daily liquidity and flexibility
- Simplified cash management
Deposit placement through CDARS or ICS is subject to the terms, conditions, and disclosures in applicable agreements. Although deposits are placed in increments that do not exceed the FDIC standard maximum deposit insurance amount (“SMDIA”) at any one destination bank, a depositor’s balances at the institution that places deposits may exceed the SMDIA (e.g., before settlement for deposits or after settlement for withdrawals) or be uninsured (if the placing institution is not an insured bank). The depositor must make any necessary arrangements to protect such balances consistent with applicable law and must determine whether placement through CDARS or ICS satisfies any restrictions on its deposits. A list identifying IntraFi network banks appears at https://www.intrafi.com/network-banks. The depositor may exclude banks from eligibility to receive its funds. IntraFi, ICS and CDARS are registered service marks of IntraFi Network LLC.
