Did you know that West Bank has a charitable foundation? The West Bancorporation Foundation has been awarding grants to community nonprofit organizations since 2004. Funding comes from West Bank and from many West Bank employees who support the Foundation through payroll deduction and other personal contributions.

The Foundation focuses contributions in the areas of:

• Human Service
• Education
• Arts and Culture

“In my capacity as Executive Director of our charitable foundation, it has been a privilege to see firsthand the difference we can make in our communities.” says Jill Hansen, West Bank Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the West Bancorporation Foundation. “Our financial contributions, coupled with our employees’ fantastic volunteer efforts, work hand in hand to effect significant change.  The need is great, and we are proud to be able to respond.”

In 2017, the Foundation was able to grant over $270,000 to 94 community organizations in the markets we serve. 

The Foundation’s Board of Directors is composed of West Bank’s executive management team and a rotating team of employees. Whenever possible, we send a Foundation board representative to present the grant checks in person.
