Important Security Reminder

West Bank will never call, email, or text you to ask for sensitive information such as tokens, username and passwords, or account information.

Please be aware of a scam affecting the banking industry where fraudsters are pretending to be bank employees. These fraudsters claim they are calling to help reset login credentials or verify transactions. They are spoofing bank phone numbers, a technique used to alter the caller ID information displayed on a recipient’s phone, making it look like the call is from the bank when it is not.

These fraudsters:

  • Provide a specific bank employee name and claim to be them.
  • Tell the customer there are system outages that are preventing wire/ACH transactions from processing or that their login credentials have been compromised and need to be reset.
  • Tell the customer they need to click a link to reset their password. The link is then sent through a text or email asking the user to put in their bank login credentials. Once a customer does this, the fraudster is able to steal the login information to gain access to their bank account.
    •

If you receive a request or are unsure if it is legitimate, please hang up and call your Banker or Customer Service at  1-800-810-2301.
