On March 21, 2022, West Bank opened its newly constructed, state-of-the-art building located at 1800 Bellin Drive in St. Cloud.

Although a newer business in the St. Cloud area, West Bank is no stranger to community banking. West Bank, a business-focused community bank, was established in 1893 with headquarters in West Des Moines, Iowa. The West Bank team in St. Cloud is made up of seasoned bankers who have established relationships with local business leaders in the St. Cloud area. This full-service bank will offer consumer banking, business banking and trust services to the community.

Dave Nelson, Chairman and CEO of West Bank, spent much of his career in Minnesota before returning to Iowa in 2011 to lead West Bank. In 2013, West Bank began its expansion into the Minnesota market by opening a location in Rochester. In 2019, West Bank opened three more Minnesota offices in St. Cloud, Mankato and Owatonna. The new St. Cloud building will be the second full-service location built in Minnesota. There are plans to build full-service offices in Mankato and Owatonna in the future.

The building was constructed by general contractor Lyon Contracting of St. Cloud, led by Jeff Drown. Designed after the West Bank Rochester location built in 2016, this two-story building with a modern feel gives a refreshing look to St. Cloud business banking. Located on the corner of Hwy 15 and County Rd 1, the 15,000 sq. ft. building will be a presence in the community. Furnished with an interior lounge and a dynamic outdoor rooftop terrace, the space will allow bankers to spend time developing relationships with their customers and community leaders.

The St. Cloud location is advised and guided by a Community Board of Directors, made up of ten experienced business leaders and professionals who have helped shape the St. Cloud area over many decades.
