West Bank Donates Furniture to Nonprofit Neighbor

As West Bank opened its new headquarters 3330 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, the furniture at the old 1601 22nd Street building needed to find a new home. In pursuit of supporting the community, West Bank donated the furniture to Community Support Advocates (CSA) to help furnish their new mental health therapy clinic, also serving as their new headquarters, in West Des Moines.

As a community bank, West Bank continuously seeks to live out its mission of building strong communities.

“CSA opening their new location so close to the new West Bank headquarters gave us the perfect opportunity to support one of our neighbors in a unique way,” stated Jon Hummel, West Bank Commercial Banker.

For over 25 years, CSA has dedicated itself to serving the most vulnerable members of our communities: those who have been impacted by disabilities, mental health issues, and traumatic brain injury.

“While giving financially is one way we support our community, outfitting CSA’s new space with office and conference room furniture is a creative way we were able to give back and support our neighbors who provide essential services to those in need,” said Hummel.

“Community Support Advocates has enjoyed a long banking relationship with West Bank and we appreciate our partnership with Jon Hummel and all of the West Bank community,” stated Christina Smith, CSA President and CEO. “This donation will go a long way to launch our new headquarters and integrated behavioral health clinic in West Des Moines and in creating a vibrant and safe environment for people to receive care. With this donation, West Bank is creating hope together with Community Support Advocates through expanding mental health care to individuals and families in crisis.”
