On November 20, 2023, West Bank opened a new, state-of-the-art building located at 1911 Premier Drive in Mankato, Minnesota. The building is 15,000 square feet and includes a lounge, rooftop entertaining space, golf simulator and a walk-in lobby. The new location also features a 24-hour drive-up ATM and a drive-up Interactive Teller Machine. The West Bank team in Mankato is comprised of experienced bankers who are looking forward to offering consumer banking, business banking and treasury management services to the community.

The building was constructed by AB Systems, led by Tim Boardman as Project Manager and Jon Buker as Job Superintendent. The two-story building has an eye-catching rooftop style and was designed by architect HGA.

“We are excited to have our own permanent building,” said Tom Lentz, Mankato Market President. “It will be a great space to host community members and will offer an unparalleled banking experience for our customers. We look forward to sharing this unique facility with them now that we have officially opened our doors.”

While the building itself may be new, West Bank has a strong history dating back to its founding in 1893 in West Des Moines, Iowa. With six locations in Iowa, West Bank expanded into the Minnesota market in 2013 with a location in Rochester, Minnesota. In 2019 West Bank opened three more Minnesota locations in Mankato, St. Cloud and Owatonna. St. Cloud opened a permanent location in 2022 and plans are underway for Owatonna to open a permanent location.

The West Bank team in Mankato plans to host a variety of customer appreciation events in the coming weeks to thank local customers for their business and support. A ribbon cutting is planned with Greater Mankato Growth on December 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
